About the role

Osprey Global Technologies is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and solutions that support our growing business. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career development and advancement.

What you'll be doing

Design and develop mechanical systems and components to support the production and delivery of our client's products and services in Agriculture, transport Vehicles and Attachments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex engineering challenges

Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings using Inventor, specifications, and reports

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

Mentor and support more junior members of the engineering team

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a similar industry

Proficiency in CAD software, such as Inventor, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for 2D and 3D design

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop effective solutions, you will need to understand the product and be able to do detailed design and drawings for manufacture of it

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
