We're a boutique carpentry and joinery firm with a focus on producing a high standard of workmanship. We're looking for a skilled carpenter and sub-tradespeople who share our passion for working with high-quality materials to produce functional and attractive indoor and outdoor spaces.

Timbertek’s aim is to deliver projects that meet client expectations, whether it’s a niche retail shopfitting job or a larger-scale premium residential project.

Role

We are seeking an experienced, safety-driven carpenter with Leading Hand experience to join our team full-time. While on site, you will also oversee and direct all carpentry-related work, supervising Timbertek’s team and coordinating trades to ensure our residential and commercial projects run smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being part of a team

As an experienced carpenter with attention to detail, you will oversee our production process, from planning and scheduling to ensuring efficient workflows and timely completion of joinery projects.

Qualifications & experience

· Minimum 6 years experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry

· Must have a valid Carpentry Trade Certificate

· Have own car and tools

· Hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)

· Working with Children Check

Key Responsibilities

· Skilled in framing, fix-out, roofing, and reading plans

· Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Supervision: Overseeing all carpentry work, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.

· Assigning Tasks: Delegating tasks to team members and ensuring they have the resources and support they need.

· Coordination: Managing subcontractors and ensuring effective communication.

· Safety: Enforcing safety regulations and procedures on the construction site.

· Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of workmanship and materials.

· Time Management: Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

· Problem-Solving: Addressing issues and challenges that arise during the installation of the carpentry and joinery.
