About the role:
As our Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of a range of published and electronic materials, including videography and video editing, from conceptualisation to final production.
You will provide excellent service to internal and external clients on effective graphic design solutions which meets the wide-ranging requirements of the Department as well as State Brand.
More specifically, you will coordinate creative design projects, provide expert advice and guidance and contribute to the development of new and enhanced graphic design tools, processes and systems.
Key Competencies:
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
Proven graphic design knowledge and skills that ensure the effective and creative development, maintenance, and review of promotional, marketing or communication materials across a range of different delivery modes.
Highly developed skills using the Adobe Creative suite programs to produce design solutions.
Knowledge of SA Government branding, communication and marketing policies and protocols, and of print production techniques and methods.
You will also have:
The ability to plan, schedule and prioritise work activities, achieving objectives within required timeframes and deadlines, and to work independently, or as a member of a team, under limited direction in the achievement of agreed objectives.
Project management skills to coordinate multiple design projects simultaneously and provide relevant design and creative advice, plans, actions and time management.
High level interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills with proven ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to construct original creative thinking coupled with a systematic logical approach to the design process.
Remuneration:
Competitive salary $85,790 to $95,143 pa plus superannuation

Qualifications:
Essential: A relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia Visual Art, or a related discipline.
Desirable:
Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
Adobe Creative Suite experience/associated qualification
Special Conditions:
The role will be offered as a full-time (37.5 hours per week), 12-month contract position.
A Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) will be required prior to employment.
