About the Role
Join our team as an Administration Officer – Beginner Auslan, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging Auslan and Deaf Awareness Training classes. Working closely with the Team Leader, you’ll ensure smooth and timely administration to help Deaf Connect provide outstanding service to our students.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
· Coordinate admin for Auslan classes, Sign Online, and Deaf Awareness Training.
· Manage enrolments, feedback, and certificates using aXcelerate.
· Support tutor scheduling and class logistics.
· Handle DAT applications, invoicing, and client enquiries.
· Organise Auslan Immersion Camps and ensure smooth program delivery.
About You
In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience:
· Experience using a Student Management System i.e aXcelerate, and Moodle.
· Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Sound organisational and time management skills
· Demonstrated ability to enrol students and book courses/ venues
· Demonstrated experience handling a high volume of enquiries
· Highly developed interpersonal, communication skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work autonomously.
You should also let us know if you have these other great skills:
· Qualifications in Auslan, or desire to learn Auslan
· Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing people or knowledge of the Deaf community, language and culture.
