Remuneration: $73,427 - $ 104,753 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for par time)

Join Our Team as a Child, Adolescent, and Youth Mental Health Occupational Therapist!
Work with the PEIRS team, part of PCYMHS in Western Sydney, to support adolescents (12-24 years) with moderate to severe mental illnesses through community-based assessment, therapy, and recovery services.
What you'll be doing
- Provide exceptional occupational therapy by developing and implementing individualized assessment and therapy plans. Facilitate and create group therapy programs that cater to the unique needs of our clients.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including Community Mental Health Teams, Department of Education, DCJ, GPs, and NGOs. Help promote resilience and reduce the need for hospital and other government service usage.
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with clients and their families. Ensure regular treatment reviews and effective coordination with other support services to enhance overall well-being.
- Participate in professional supervision, training, and development activities. Contribute to quality improvement, clinical research, and service evaluation to stay at the forefront of mental health care.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – General registration
Selection Criteria:
- Recognised Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in providing mental health and occupational therapy assessment and intervention to young people with a mental health problem in a community setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with families, other relevant agencies, such as schools, community services and NGOs to provide effective collaborative intervention for consumers.
- An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice.
- Experience in developing, facilitating, and evaluating group therapy programs in line with occupational therapy goals.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting.
- Highly developed and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
