The role
You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of projects and initiatives that improve the experience and cultural safety of our Aboriginal staff.

This is the ideal role for someone who is a great communicator and can manage competing priorities and change. Experience in managing all aspects of projects - from the idea to implementation is essential.

We need someone to bring their cultural capability and lived experience as an Aboriginal person to this role. As part of the recruitment process, we will ask you to provide documentation to confirm your Aboriginality and your capability will also be assessed through the recruitment process.

What you will be doing:

  • Listening and supporting Aboriginal staff through complex and sensitive situations
  • Designing, implementing and evaluating projects that embed Aboriginal Cultural Safety in our workplaces and systems.
  • Providing expert advice and support through innovative solutions to address cultural safety issues
  • Sharing knowledge and uplifting capability through creation of resources and training delivery

  • You bring creative thinking to address complex issues and creating culturally safe environments.
  • You have the ability to work collaboratively across teams, influence change, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • You demonstrate cultural knowledge, integrity, and experience in driving cultural awareness and change programs.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in people related roles
  • This is an Identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. You will be asked to supply a copy of your Certificate of Aboriginality in order to be appointed to the role.

Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977) for Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:
