About the role

Jakaranda Australia is seeking an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team in Morayfield, QLD. This full-time role is responsible for providing high-quality customer service to participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), helping them navigate the scheme and access the support they need.

What you'll be doing

Assisting NDIS participants to understand their NDIS funding, including providing education in line with legislated changes occurring.

Developing personalised funding plans in collaboration with participants and their families

Connecting participants with relevant service providers and resources.

Monitor and review participants progress, adjusting funding plans as necessary

Advocating for participant's needs and preferences with service providers and stakeholders

Staying up-to-date with NDIS legislative changes to ensure compliance in a rapidly changing sector

Conducting regular check-ins with participants to assess their satisfaction and progress

Maintaining detailed records and reporting back to the NDIS on participant progress

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in a disability or community services field

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar NDIS or disability support coordination role. Senior or supervisor experience is highly desirable

Thorough understanding of the NDIS and its processes, legislation and framework

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people

Strong problem-solving and solution seeking skills, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for participants

Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support participant record-keeping.

Ability to work equally independently and as part of a strong supportive team. Positive team culture is important to us

Must have NDIS Worker Screening check.

Must have Qld Working with children check (employed).

Reliable car, drivers license and insurance.
