We are currently seeking a passionate and professional Regional Manager - Youth and Programs, to join our State Office Management Team. As Regional Manager, you will collaborate closely with QPS Senior Sergeants and the State Operations Manager to effectively implement PCYC's Social Impact Action Plan within the Cairns Region. This position has the flexibility to be based at one of our PCYC clubs around North Queensland (subject to availability). Your New Role

As Regional Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership in collaboration with Queensland Police Service (QPS) Senior Sergeants to drive the successful delivery of Social Impact Action Plans (SIAP) across the region. You will be accountable for ensuring both programmatic excellence and operational efficiency, meeting contractual obligations, and fostering a high-performing, purpose-driven culture within regional teams. This role is critical in aligning local program delivery and business operations with PCYC Queensland’s broader organizational goals, ensuring sustainable social impact and long-term community value.

To excel in this leadership position, you will:

  • Define and champion a strategic vision for youth engagement programs that aligns with PCYC’s mission, operational capabilities, and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SIAPs across regional PCYC clubs, ensuring delivery is outcomes-focused, scalable, and aligned with funding, contractual, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee all aspects of regional business operations, including financial management, budgeting, compliance, risk mitigation, human resources, and resource allocation to support effective and efficient program delivery.
  • Ensure systems, processes, and performance metrics are in place to drive operational excellence and accountability across clubs.
  • Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with community leaders, government agencies, funding bodies, and culturally diverse groups to enhance collaboration, community responsiveness, and sustainable impact.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a values-based culture of innovation, inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.

About You

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable, or significant experience in the industry in lieu of a qualification.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in youth and community programs
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability in contract management across government corporate community entities.
  • Ability to work with Government stakeholders at a local and state level to add value to existing youth engagement strategies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the state as required
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver’s license.
