The role
We are on the hunt for THE most exceptional part-time receptionist and office administrator. This incredible role has become available following the departure of the current incumbent after 10+ years’ service. It a fantastic opportunity to work in the highly rewarding environment of positive animal welfare work. The successful candidates will be a major pivot in small but highly efficient team. The key focus is on a professional and caring interface with the public while helping to support the team effort. The role includes:
· Working closely with the rest of the RSPCA NT team including vet team, other animal attendants and management. Seek out opportunities to assist others,
· Answering and directing incoming calls.
· Dealing with enquiries regarding animals available for adoption plus general enquiries from the public regarding animal welfare matters.
· Forming a focal point for team messaging and cooperation.
· Assisting management wherever possible.
· Facilitate adoption matches and processing of adoption administration.
· Complete invoicing and taking of payments as required.
· Up loading of accounts payable invoices.
· Processing of day end functions as directed.
· Assist with bookings for the vet clinic.
· Understand and abide by all established policies and procedures,
· Maintain a positive and engaging environment for new and existing staff and volunteers,
· Complete alternate tasks as relevant and directed, including but not limited to linen washing, minor property maintenance and general cleaning of the offices.
· Assistance with animal attendant duties in times of staff shortages.
Your experience
Ideally you will have:
A valid driver’s licence,
Previous reception and administrative experience.
Previous experience in animal welfare is preferable but not essential
Be of good health and well groomed
Be of sound character with good references.
