About us:
We are a practice with an established Neurosurgeon, who is setting up his own practice. To say the Surgeon is delightful and amicable is an understatement. To ensure you feel comfortable in the role, we would like your input in the reception process for the Medical Receptionist (with RWS doing the hard work) during the first month of employment. Our newly appointed Medical Receptionist will assist you with meet and greet and managing consulting sessions. Our vision is to provide leading-edge and empathetic care to all our patients and build a team that loves working together and coming to work.
About you:
You love to use your extensive experience to set up our new practice, putting processes and procedures in place. You enjoy being the gatekeeper for our Surgeon, assisting him and the practice as required. Building practices is second nature to you. You pride yourself on your initiative and competency, allowing the Surgeon to do what he does best – be a Surgeon.
Key duties/skills:
Management
Overseeing the practice and staff, ensuring the patient has a seamless journey at the practice
Assisting the Surgeon with ad hoc duties as required
Team building skills – including administrating and managing fortnightly practice meetings
Monitor individual and team performance, workload, and take action to address learning and development needs and performance issues
Managing staff including handling leave requests, rosters and timesheets
Overseeing consulting sessions and providing relief when required
Creating, implementing and refining processes/procedures as required
Developing strategies for change and growth
Assistance in marketing to referrers
Manage clinical stock levels
Manage queries and complaints
Attend to PA duties required by the Surgeon
Excellent communication skills with a positive mindset
IT proficiency – able to troubleshoot
Practice financials, including reconciliation of end of day, week and month
High attention to detail with organisational skills
Admin skills
Managing Theatre billing, booking, and quoting
Dealing with Health funds
Weekly banking reports
Batching
Creating templates
Extremely well presented, verbally, in writing and in person
Assisting with consulting sessions and phones (when required)

Experience:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Practice Manager experience – Specialist and cloud software experience viewed favourably,
For the right candidate, minimum GP Practice Management experience, but Private Specialist experience would be viewed highly.

Days/Hours (negotiable):
Monday 9.00am till 6pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Wednesday and Thursday 9:00am till 5.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Friday 9.00am till 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Pay rate: $45.00 per hour plus Super
Please note, the hourly rate for the successful candidate will be contingent upon factors such as relevant experience, required upskilling and any necessary training. The listed rate is intended as a general guide and may be adjusted in accordance with these criteria.
