We are looking for a dedicated Education Support Officer to join our supportive and collative teaching and learning team at St Joseph’s School Tranmere!

28.75 hours per week term time (8.45am to 3pm Monday to Friday)

Your Responsibilities will include:-

· Assisting students in small groups and one-on-one settings to support learning across all curriculum areas.

· Supporting a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment through the implementation of behavioural management strategies.

· Supervising and caring for students with formally identified special needs, following Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).

· Providing instruction to students within a structured learning environment.

About you

You are passionate about education, possess strong organisational skills, and can adapt and contribute to a dynamic learning environment. You have:-

· A Certificate IV or Diploma in Education Support (or equivalent)

· Previous experience in supporting student learning in a school setting.

· Experience in implementing learning intervention programs such as MiniLit or be willing to undertake training

· Strong organisational and communication skills.

· The ability and desire to be a team player, offering flexibility and willingness to support others.

· Sound interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to work successfully, flexibly, and collaboratively with others.

· The ability to work under direction, follow instructions and use initiative.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

· A current Catholic Police Check or DCSI screening.

· Certification in Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care.

· A valid First Aid Certification.
