Our client, SilverShine Chassis, is looking for 3 experienced Welders.
Tasks Include:
Perform MIG, and ARC welding on steel, aluminium, and other metals to manufacture and repair chassis and related components.
Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents to accurately fabricate chassis components.
Fit and weld metal components with precision, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards.
Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the welds, ensuring the final product meets quality control standards.
Repairing or replacing damaged metal parts by welding, cutting, or grinding.
Monitoring the heat and temperature of the welding process to avoid overheating and ensure proper penetration.

Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, tasks completed, and any defects found.
Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and machinery following safety guidelines and procedures.
Adhere to workplace safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Work closely with other team members such as fabricators, machinists, and production supervisors to meet production timelines.
Provide input during production meetings to help identify potential issues and solutions in the manufacturing process.
Maintain welding equipment and tools, conducting regular checks to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as necessary to ensure continuous operation and reduce downtime.
Qualifications and other requirements
1. Have a Certificate III qualification or higher in welding/fabricating.
2. At least 1 year of experience as a welder in the last 5 years, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
4. Knowledge of metal properties, welding quality control, and industry standards.
5. Good physical condition and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong safety focus and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
