About the role

Angel Institute of Education is seeking an experienced Individual Support Trainer to join our team in Melbourne, VIC on a contract basis (1 day/week at this stage). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training and assessment to students aspiring to work in the individual support industry. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the next generation of care workers and ensuring that our students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in this rewarding field.

What you'll be doing

Designing and delivering interactive training sessions covering a range of individual support topics, including personal care, communication, and supporting independence

Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback to help them improve and meet competency requirements

Maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with relevant training regulations and policies

Collaborating with the wider education team to continuously improve course content and teaching methods

Providing mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their professional development

What we're looking for

Relevant vocational qualification in Individual Support or a related field

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Trainer or Assessor in the individual support or aged care sector

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students

Strong analytical and assessment skills, with a keen eye for detail

Passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities
