About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide leadership, expertise and consultancy to guide the strategic direction for high quality, equitable consumer and community engagement across Metro North Health. Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of Metro North's legislative responsibilities outlined in the Hospital and Health Boards Act (2011) relating to consumer and community engagement
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including primary and community organisations, health interest groups and non-government organisations to enhance consumer and community participation.
- Manage a small team of engagement practitioners.
- Provide advice and assistance to the Board to enable effective partnering with consumers and community.
- Identify, secure and manage appropriate resources to support consumer and community engagement.
