HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS6 level Case Manager - External Review on behalf of our client, a respected Federal Government agency, located in SURRY HILLS / SYDNEY. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional, outcomes-focused team managing complex external review applications relating to our client.
About the Role:
As an APS6 level Case Manager, you will manage complex and sensitive case files relating to external review applications at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART). You will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to policy and planning efforts, and work towards resolving disputes in line with legislation and best-practice case management techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end ART case files with attention to legislative compliance and risk assessment.
- Engaging with stakeholders and participants to gather information and resolve disputes.
- Representing the agency in ART case conferences, conciliations, and hearings.
- Applying alternative dispute resolution methods and preparing detailed case documentation.
- Assessing participant risk and supporting the development of participant plans.
- Producing executive briefs and resolution reports to support decision-making.

About You:
We're looking for highly motivated professionals with the ability to manage complex caseloads and contribute to fair and timely resolutions in a legal and policy-driven environment.
You will have:
- Critical thinking and sound decision-making capabilities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Experience in dispute resolution, policy interpretation, or tribunal matters
Desirable attributes:
- Knowledge of the Disability sector.
- Understanding of administrative law or experience in tribunal settings
- Background in disability services or participant advocacy.
