This role of a Commercial Analyst is a critical part of our Accounting & Finance team in the Manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating financial models, conducting benchmarking and process analysis, and assisting with budget and forecasting. The role partners with the MD, Supply chain and Operations team to provide commercial insights that will aid strategic decision making at a C-suite level.

Description
The Commercial Analyst role will involve but not be limited to:
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Business Partnering with key stakeholders
- Develop financial models
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
- Identify trends, advise the company on financial matters and assist in drafting business plans
- Analyse the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
- Product costing & inventory analysis
- Providing in-depth analysis to supply chain and procurement
- Assist management in decision-making processes
- Collaborate with executive team members on strategic financial planning (5 & 10 year)
- Other ad hoc reporting and month end activities
Profile
A successful Commercial Analyst should have:
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Business, Economics or related field
- CPA/CA qualification ideal
- Experience with a large ERP - SAP, Oracle
- Manufacturing / FMCG / retail / Agri experience ideal
- Advanced excel skills
- SQL experience (ideal) or openness to learn and develop
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement and strategic planning
- Excellent analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
