Our client is an NFP organisation providing care services.
About the Role
As a HR BP in this temporary 6 to 8 week role with a well-known NFP, you'll support the HR team and managers across case management, SCHADS interpretation, and ER/IR matters. You'll provide guidance on policies, workplace issues, and change processes, helping ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
Duties
As a HR BP you will be responsible for:-
- Assisting with IR case management and disciplinary processes
- Interpreting Enterprise Agreements, including SCHADS Awards
- Providing advice on employment terms, conditions, and HR policies
- Coaching and supporting managers on performance issues, grievances, terminations, and team matters
- Leading or assisting with workplace investigations
- Supporting and guiding change management processes
- Assisting with fit-for-work cases and related procedures
- Advising on leave entitlements, including study, long service, and parental leave
- Delivering HR-related training, including employee induction programs
- Preparing HR data and reports as required
- Supporting broader HR projects and initiatives
- Providing backup support to senior HR staff and other team members when needed
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner or similar HR advisory role, supporting senior stakeholders
- Strong business partnering skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively across leadership and teams
- Experience working in an NFP environment
- Excellent knowledge of Australian employment legislation, ER/IR matters, and SCHADS Award
- Ability to hit the ground running, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and resilience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication across diverse stakeholders and teams
- Proven experience supporting managers and staff to achieve positive workplace outcomes
- A collaborative team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Must be able to complete a police check prior to commencement
- Must hold a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel to various sites across Victoria
