About the role

We Traffix is seeking a talented Traffic Operations Manager to join our growing team in our Melbourne office. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day traffic operations for our construction projects, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of traffic in line with industry regulations and best practices.

Must Haves:

1. 5+ Years Experience in a similar role

2. Experience with leading, managing, organising and scheduling of many Traffic Control teams simultaneously

3. Strong communication skills

4. Highly competent with technology, social media, MS-office suite including excel and outlook, and able to quickly adapt to Traffic Control management and reporting and rostering software

5. Track record of success and compliance in previous roles

6. Maintaining our team with current accreditation under the New National Traffic management framework

7. Current TCI1/TMI1 And TMI2/TC2 as a minimum

8. Experience with prestart, online traffic control Apps, and other computer programs and software used for compliance, scheduling jobs and rostering team members.

9. Must have extensive experience ensuring accurate and compliant set – up and auditing of TMP/TGS involving complex traffic arrangements

Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

o Managing the schedule of jobs and Rostering staff and time sheets daily

o Communicating and supporting team members and customers alike with a can do and positive attitude.

o Must thrive in a high Paced environment

o Must be available 6 days per week.

Lead through example, support, empower and drive team members

Ensure you provide all necessary communication, instructions and Tools to your team and ensure they deliver on time every time

Communication and co ordination from client representatives to designers and Traffic Management implementers with site works and back to the office support and accounting.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of road users, our team of traffic controllers, workers on construction sites and Major events patrons.

Your Role will include:

Thorough knowledge and implementation of the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (AGTTM) to comply with the relevant acts and codes of practice.

o Compliance with the legislative obligations under the Road Safety Act 1986 and the Road Safety Traffic Management Regulations 2019.

o Providing direction for all matters relating to the planning, design and implementation of temporary traffic management

o Co – ordinate pre-start meetings, to be attended by all on site traffic management personnel

o Auditing, inspecting compliance with the MOA/TMP/TGS and Visiting Sites and teams Daily and include:

• Suitability reviews (pre-implementation)

• Compliance Audits (during works).

o Maintain a Team of Competent, trained and experienced traffic management personnel

To police and ensure our traffic controllers hold the correct qualifications and have the appropriate training to direct traffic and maintain the safety of motorists, pedestrians, clients and our staff.

Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders and project teams to coordinate traffic-related activities

Maintain detailed records and generate reports on traffic-related activities and metrics

Continuously seek opportunities to improve traffic operations and introduce innovative solutions
