Join City of Moreton Bay as a Venue Support Officer at Queensland State Equestrian Centre (QSEC) and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

QSEC is a 30-hectare equestrian and major events precinct operated by the City of Moreton Bay. At the heart of QSEC is a covered 3000 seat main arena and adjoining second arena and 154 permanent stables. Combined with expansive grounds and camping areas, QSEC offers significant opportunities for a wide variety major events and activation.

As a Venue Support Officer, you will be responsible for delivering quality service outcomes and providing positive customer experiences. You will achieve this by:

Note: The role is Monday to Friday although the successful candidate may be required to work on weekends for major events.

  • Providing customers and hirers with assistance in relation to their use of facilities and resources
  • Providing prompt and efficient administrative support including responding to customer requests
  • Liaising with stakeholders in relation to venue bookings and reconciliations
  • Supporting the planning, promotion and delivery of venue programs, activities and events
  • Undertaking venue finance and procurement processes
  • Supporting the daily operations of the venue as required, including customer service, catering, technical support and venue set up as per booking requirements.
  • This role also includes the opportunity to assist the Venue Maintenance Team with arena preparations and general venue maintenance, inclusive of stable duties.

About you

We’re looking for a vibrant, positive and motivated individual who enjoys being part of a team. You must be driven to deliver exceptional customer service and hold the necessary communication, administration and interpersonal skills to ensure our stakeholders, clients and customers are welcomed and serviced in the highest regards.

With a passion for horses and a working knowledge of the equine industry, you will have a demonstrated ability and willingness to undertake event set up and pack down procedures and be proactive in your approach and attitude, especially when working autonomously and within a team.

In addition, you will have or be willing to obtain the following:

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Apply First Aid Certification
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Experience with horses/equine industry would be desirable
