Duty Manager – The Point Brisbane Hotel

About the Role

The Duty Manager role is ideal for a natural leader with sharp attention to detail and the ability to elevate service across all levels. Serving as a representative of the General Manager, you will engage with various stakeholders and provide operational support to multiple departments throughout the hotel.

As the Front Office Duty Manager, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's front-of-house services. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the business's overall success.

What You’ll Be Doing

Overseeing and coordinating all front office activities, including reception, reservation, and guest services

Ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless guest experience

Managing the Front Office team, training, and performance monitoring

Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement

Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient hotel operations

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Front Office Duty Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in using hotel management software and technology. Experience using Opera Cloud is a bonus

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Please note: This role requires you to cover a minimum of two night shifts per week and additional night shifts as needed to cover staff leave or operational requirements.

A full open driver’s license
