What is the Role...
As the hotel and Front Office Duty Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager and be a trusted leader on shift. You’ll take charge of the hotel during your shift, coach the GSA team, handle guest needs, and contribute to the overall running of the hotel. Whilst ensuring that the highest standards of service and hospitality are maintained, we're committed to recognizing and developing great talent — and for the right person, this role can open the door to future growth opportunities within our hotel.
About You:
You’ve worked as a GSA or Supervisor and you're ready for growth
You have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a hotel or similar setting
You have experience using hotel property management systems — preferably Opera
You care about delivering professional, thoughtful service—not just transactions
You present professionally, are punctual, and lead by example
You’re available for both AM and PM shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
You have unrestricted working rights in Australia
You’re confident dealing with systems, guests, and leading small teams
You live in Cairns and want to build your career here
You’re ready to lead shifts, solve problems, and step into leadership
What You’ll Do:
Be the go-to leader on shift across hotel operations
Assist with guest feedback, special requests, and ensure smooth arrivals/departures
Support the Front Office Manager with staff training, admin, reporting and team culture
Be across safety, incidents, and basic hotel operations in real time
