About the role

MGDD is seeking a talented part-time Graphic Designer to join their dynamic team in Southport, Queensland. As the Graphic Designer, you will specialise in urban design and landscape architecture, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually striking designs and content that aligns with a wide range of company projects and objectives, while ensuring the company’s brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

Create visually appealing and innovative concept designs for project, construction, print & digital media and website elements.

Collaborate with the project team to develop design concepts and strategies that effectively deliver livable and vibrant spaces while communicating the company's brand awareness.

Use graphic design software and tools to manipulate and enhance images, create illustrations, and design layouts.

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Work closely with clients or stakeholders to understand their design requirements and provide creative solutions.

Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to continually improve design quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

Tertiary qualification in graphic design, urban design, landscape architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.

Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant tools.

Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and interpret design briefs.

Desired Skills

AutoCAD and contract documentation

Sketch-Up and/or 3D modelling programs

Construction knowledge

Plant/Landscaping knowledge

Hand drawing and rendering skills
