About the role

Join the talented team at Cardzilla and Trinity Printers as a Graphic Designer. This opportunity, based in either Cairns or Townsville, is preferably full time but may be flexible for the right candidate to be casual. This role will see you contribute your creative flair and technical expertise to the production of high-quality print assets. You will play a crucial part in delivering engaging practical designs along with being part of the administration team that ensures accurate data entry results in great communication and delivering a service second to none in the print industry.

What you'll be doing

Conceptualise and produce compelling and practical graphic designs for a range of print media, including (but not limited to) brochures, posters, logos, docket books, forms, signage and business cards

Collaborate closely with the clients and other team members to understand briefs and translate them into creative but practical solutions

Ensure design work adheres to brand guidelines and style standards

Manage design projects from initial concept through to final delivery, working to tight deadlines

Continuously expand your knowledge of design software, techniques, and industry trends

General administration for the smooth running of the day to day business from filing to invoicing

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design (or a related field) or proven experience

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably within the printing and publishing industry

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and InDesign

Excellent eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality, visually compelling, practical designs

Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, client-focused approach

Demonstrated customer management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines

A ‘can do’ attitude with a positive demeanor to fit into a small team

A start date in the very near future if not immediately
