About the role
Are you passionate about driving sustainable outcomes in major infrastructure projects? We're looking for a dynamic Project Sustainability Lead to provide support and guidance across the planning, design, construction, and operation phases of transport systems delivered by OMTID. In this role, you'll champion the implementation of sustainability objectives and targets, identify and assess sustainable development opportunities, and ensure that all projects meet performance standards. You'll collaborate closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, technical teams and the OMTID Sustainability Manager, overseeing sustainability strategies, contract inputs, workshops, audits, and third-party rating scheme submissions.
This is your opportunity to lead sustainability from the ground up, influencing outcomes through strategic partnerships with stakeholders across PTA divisions, the Transport Portfolio, contractors, and industry bodies. You'll manage performance against key strategies, review sustainability documentation, and drive innovation through workshops and working groups. If you’re a team-oriented leader with strong relationship-building skills and a desire to embed sustainability into every stage of project delivery, we’d love to hear from you. Help shape the future of transport infrastructure while advancing environmentally responsible development.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience in sustainable development, including the delivery of large infrastructure projects and knowledge of infrastructure sustainability rating systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams while effectively managing resources to meet sustainability goals within complex project environments.
Skills in advising diverse stakeholders, facilitating workshops, resolving complex issues, and producing high-quality documentation, including reports and technical materials.
Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data, interpret strategic objectives, manage competing priorities, and deliver innovative, sustainable outcomes.
