Mobile Plant Mechanic

Donghwa Australia is a prominent Soft Timber mill located in Bombala, NSW, just over 2 hours' drive south of Canberra.

We employ over 100 people from the local community and surrounds and are a vital provider of jobs for our thriving community.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Plant Mechanic. In this role, your key responsibility will be to maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; adjustment and alignments as needed; keeping records.

This role will report directly to the Engineering Leading Hand on shift and Engineering Supervisor.

The successful candidates will have the ability to work in a diverse team environment, be deadline driven with a strong sense of urgency and be able to hit the ground running in a hands-on high-pressure environment.

A willingness to work rotating day and afternoon shift and overtime as required is also essential.

Skills

A minimum Certificate 3 Engineering-Mechanical

A developed awareness and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.

Welding skills in both heavy MIG and ARC welding (desirable)

Experience working within breakdown and preventative maintenance.

Fault finding and problem-solving skills
