Viva Commercial and Industrial is a well-established building company based in Collingwood, delivering high-quality commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across Victoria. We’re currently seeking an experienced Architect with minimum 3 years’ experience to join our growing in-house team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who understands the full project lifecycle, with a strong appreciation for practical, buildable design and a collaborative approach to construction and delivery.
As our in-house Architect, you’ll work closely with our project managers, consultants, and construction teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion. You’ll play a key role in early design development, planning approvals, documentation, and site coordination. This is a client-facing role with scope to lead and shape projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design development and documentation for commercial and industrial projects
• Prepare planning, tender and construction documentation (Revit-based)
• Liaise with consultants, councils, and approval authorities
• Ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, Australian Standards and local planning schemes
• Collaborate with in-house construction teams during delivery
• Attend site meetings and conduct contract administration under ABIC or AS contracts
• Contribute to project planning, feasibility and client presentations

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years’ post-grad architectural experience in Australia
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction
• ARBV registered Architect (or working towards registration)
• Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent knowledge of the NCC, BCA, Australian Standards, and local council regulations
• Strong documentation and detailing skills
• Confident communicator and team collaborator
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to deadlines and quality
