About the Role

The Admissions Systems and Operations Officer contributes to the University's international student recruitment goals, and is mainly responsible for:

  • Maintaining and enhancing StudyLink, the University's international admissions system to ensure efficient application processing and an optimal application experience.
  • Supporting application system workflows and integration with University systems to be able to process admission of international students to the University.
  • Reviewing and developing system and system-related process improvement.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including the University's Information and Digital Services teams, to maintain system operations.

About You

As the Admissions Systems and Operations Officer, you will have a strong technical background in systems, their maintenance and an understanding of systems integration, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You are a quick learner and can work in a fast-paced and often changing environment and are able to demonstrate an understanding of other cultures and ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.

Experience in student administration or international admissions is desirable.

To be successful in this position, you will need strong organisational and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.

  • Experience in identifying and managing enhanced system and process improvement that utilises knowledge of digital literacy and relevant systems.
  • High level analytical skills enabling the formulation and implementation of practical and/or innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrated strong planning and operational skills and an ability to set priorities, manage complex workflows with non-negotiable deadlines and be flexible and open to implementing change.
  • Demonstrated experience working with international students, including a demonstrated understanding of other cultures and ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
