We are now seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team in South Australia.

About the JOB

Reviewing and shaping advanced system designs, architecture frameworks, and data structures to support the setup, integration, and optimisation of IT and monitoring systems used in solar energy operations

Investigating and assessing network infrastructure to ensure all systems, including solar monitoring platforms and remote site connections, are optimally configured for high performance and reliability

Evaluating existing network operations and recommending enhancements to the integration of hardware, software, communication tools, and operating systems to support efficient solar energy system performance

Delivering expert technical support to diagnose and resolve network issues and system outages, ensuring minimal disruption to solar operations and data connectivity

Setting up, configuring, testing, and managing new and upgraded networks, database applications, servers, and workstations to support both office operations and solar site connectivity

Developing custom network solutions and scripts to meet the specific operational and data needs of the business, including support for solar monitoring and reporting systems

Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for network configurations, inventory, maintenance procedures, and records of issue resolution, system upgrades, and modifications

Continuously tracking network usage, traffic flow, and system capacity to maintain secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across all solar infrastructure

Other relevant tasks as assigned.

To be successful in the role you will need to have

At least Bachelor Degree in related fields with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in similar roles

Knowledge and experience in solar construction projects is a plus

Proven experience in network and systems administration, with a strong understanding of network protocols, security, and infrastructure

Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network hardware and software

Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools

What we offer

Annual Salary from $73,150 for 38 hours per week, plus superannuation
