Outback Parks and Lodges is welcoming applications for our permanent Caretaker role, to be based from our Alice Springs Village.

About Us:

Located less than 5km from the center of Alice Springs, Alice Village offers visitors clean and comfortable accommodation in a quiet setting out of town with views of the spectacular MacDonnell Ranges.

Alice Village offers a variety of accommodation options for both short term, and long term stays, with studio apartments, right through to 4 bedroom house, and onsite gym, swimming pool, BBQ area and onsite parking.

The Opportunity:

This role of Village Caretaker has primary responsibility for Groundskeeping and general Maintenance of the Village, and duties includes:

Maintain the gardens and outdoor areas of the village

Assist the Guest Services team with basic maintenance of the Village - such as general painting, fixing/replacing taps, light globes, door handles etc

Working with NTL Maintenance crews and managing onsite Contractors as needed

Day to day monitoring and maintenance of the Village pool and Sewerage Treatment system

Providing guests and visitors with relevant information as required

Respond to after hours guest calls 2 - 3 nights per week

Other reasonable duties as required to ensure smooth running of the Village

Suitable candidates:

· A minimum of 12 months relevant experience either in a similar role or in a general maintenance role and

· Must hold a current Drivers License (be able to drive manual car)

· Excellent communication skills

· A strong eye for detail

· Self motivated

· Enjoy working outdoors

Free onsite accommodation will be provided for this role, with availability to work weekends essential.

Suitable candidates may be required to undergo a Police Clearance check for this role and may be required to complete an internal Fitness for Work Assessment as part of the recruitment process for this role.
