About the role

Are you passionate about helping customers transform their homes? We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Flooring Sales Assistant to join our team!

In this exciting role, you'll be instrumental in guiding our customers through the selection process for flooring and window coverings. You'll work closely with our sales estimators, merchandise samples to inspire, and provide exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Ensuring a seamless sales experience for customers

Keep the showroom floor organised and visually appealing

Collaborate closely with Sales Estimators by providing administrative support, including preparing quotes, entering sales orders, and tracking customer interactions.

Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements for flooring and window coverings

Present and demonstrate various flooring options (e.g., carpet, timber, vinyl) and window covering solutions (e.g., blinds, shutters, curtains), highlighting features, benefits, and suitability.

Assist customers in making informed selections by providing expert advice on product characteristics, durability, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal.

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling payments

Efficiently answer incoming phone calls, addressing customer queries, scheduling appointments, and directing calls to appropriate personnel.

What we're looking for

Previous sales or customer service experience, ideally within the home improvement or flooring industry

Strong product knowledge and the ability to confidently discuss specifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers

A keen eye for detail and the ability to provide accurate information

Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to deliver outstanding customer service

Previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably within a showroom environment.

Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, sales software).

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
