About the role

COLAC Port Adl - The Dock Hospitality Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our dynamic team in Port Adelaide, South Australia. As a full-time Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of our bar and ensuring exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Manage and lead a team of bar staff, providing training, support and performance management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, including inventory management, stock ordering, and cash handling

Develop and implement effective bar procedures and policies to ensure efficient and compliant service

Collaborate with the Beverage Manager to develop creative cocktail and beverage menus

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the bar area

Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and health and safety regulations

Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive, welcoming environment for all patrons

What we're looking for

Significant experience (3+ years) as a Bar Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry

Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, stock control, and point-of-sale systems

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Up-to-date knowledge of liquor licensing laws and regulations, as well as health and safety requirements

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and customers

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
