FlyPelican Engineering is a PART 145 Aircraft Maintenance Orgainstion based in Newcastle NSW.

An exciting opportunity is available for a B1.1 LAME! The role will be diverse, you could work in Base Maintenance on BAE Jetstream 32 aircraft, Line maintenance on BAE Jetstream 32, Fokker F70/F100 and Embraer E190 and even carry out wheel and brake overhauls in our component shop.

Type training on the following aircraft types is available for the right candidates: BAE J32, Fokker F70/F100 and the Embraer E190.

Staff travel is available.

Normal working hours are four 10 hour days Monday - Friday between the hours of 6am to 10pm with a rostered day off each week which can be negotiated. No shift work with minimal weekend work and overtime.

LAME starting salary to be negoiated between $125,000 to $140,000 + Super.

Remuneration and possible relocation assistance will be negotiated based on each candidate’s application and experience.

B1 LAME Duties

Perform and certify for aircraft maintenance activities in base and line maintenance environments.

Maintain and promote a safe work environment.

Liaise and communicate effectively with Engineering Manager to maintain compliance with regulations and the Fly Pelican Engineering PART 145 AMO Exposition.

Supervise Apprentices and AMEs

Travel to ports operated to by FlyPelican for defect rectification and AOG situations.

Timely and effective managment of the return to service of aircraft after line maintenance and base maintenance activities.

B1 LAME Desirable skills

Hold a current B1 Part 66 licence, ideally with either a BAE Jetstream 31 / 32, Fokker F70/F100 and/or Embraer E190 type rating or similar.

Have current or previous experience on BAE Jetstream 31 / 32, Fokker F70/F100 and/or Embraer E190 type rating or similar.

Have experience and or rating on Honeywell TPE331 engines

CAT C licence an advantage

Previous experience in line maintenance

Sound CASR Part 66, 145 and MOS knowledge

Developed troubleshooting and communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy of work

Hold a current driver’s licence

Have the ability to hold an ADA

Have the ability to hold an ASIC

Comply with DAMP policy
