We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team!
Bloom is a daytime restaurant, function and wedding venue with a strong ethos on locally sourced ingredients cooked over fire. We value teamwork, professionalism and high quality products. Our kitchen operates a daily breakfast and lunch service and is fast-paced.
As part of the Junior Sous responsibilities, you will lead preparation and service for various Events and Functions. This involves:
Coordinating with our functions team regarding requirements, dietaries and other event details
Managing service during event/function with a focus on high quality and efficiency
Working with Head and Sous Chefs to ensure smooth preparation and execution of function
We are looking for applicants with strong organisational and leadership skills. Bloom is committed to providing a professional working environment that is positive and motivating. Successful applicant will be passionate about upholding this.
Other responsibilities include:
Providing positive leadership to kitchen team.
Consistently producing food to a high standard and enforcing consistency in other team members.
Assisting the Head Chef with ordering duties and successful rotation of stock.
Working with Head & Sous Chefs to implement menu changes.
Maintaining a positive culture and setting an example for other employees.

Expected hours:
38 - 42 hours per week
7 day rosters
willing to work weekends and nights
