We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team and help lead day-to-day operations.

Role Overview:
As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive & Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations, contribute to menu development, and ensure the highest standards of food preparation, hygiene, and service. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, a strong team ethic, and a desire to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment.

You must be confident running the kitchen on Friday and Saturday evenings, ensuring smooth service, team coordination, and exceptional food quality during our busiest times.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and stand in for the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management.

Lead the kitchen team and manage service independently on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Oversee preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and excellence.

Assist with rostering, training, and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Monitor food costs and inventory, ensuring minimal waste and maximum efficiency.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment, adhering to all HACCP and food safety standards.

Collaborate in menu planning and seasonal specials with a creative and authentic Italian flair.

Requirements:

Minimum 4 years' experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or sous chef role.

Strong background in Italian cuisine and modern kitchen techniques.

Proven ability to lead a kitchen team independently during peak periods.

Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
