About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team located in Brisbane, QLD. As an Excavator Operator, you will perform the tasks required for residential plumbing and drainage installations in the Brisbane and surrounding regions. This is a full-time position with competitive rates.

What you'll be doing

Operate 5 tonne excavators in a safe and efficient manner.

Understanding residential plumbing and drainage to plan and execute excavation, trenching, and backfilling duties.

Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on assigned machinery

Collaborate with the plumbing/drainage team to ensure projects are excavated and completed to an expected standard.

Report maintenance, repairs and items of concern to management.

Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to protect yourself, your colleagues, and the general public

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction/plumbing and drainage industry, with a minimum of 3 years experience.

Awareness of surroundings including overheads and undergrounds

Understanding construction site safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team and solo when/if required

A valid HR driver's licence

Valid excavator licences

Valid Safety Induction Card (White or Blue)
