Our client is seeking experienced Rockwall Specialists and Rockwall builders to join their team in Palm Beach, Queensland. These are temp to perm positions for the right individuals where you will play a vital role in the construction and maintenance of rock walls and large-scale earthmoving projects across SE QLD & Northern NSW.

What you'll be doing (Rockwall Specialist)

• Installation of concrete wall sleepers and rock boulder materials
• Read and interpret site plans, specifications, and job requirements to ensure accurate and efficient execution
• Post setting and leveling
• Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Identify and report site hazards or issues to maintain a safe working environment
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

What you’ll be doing (Excavator Operator)

• Trimming pads in preparation of wall installation
• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to construct rock walls on both residential and civil projects
• Operate machines ranging from 1.7-tonne to 30-tonne excavators
• Read and interpret site plans, specifications, and job requirements to ensure accurate and efficient execution
• Perform routine maintenance and conduct safety checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Identify and report site hazards or issues to maintain a safe working environment
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulation

What they’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years experience installing retaining walls
• Concrete sleeper wall and rock boulder experience essential
• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator, with a strong background in rock wall construction and civil projects
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage unexpected challenges on-site
• Commitment to safety with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current Excavator (RII) licence and relevant industry certifications
