Barcaldine Pharmacy is independent and locally owned, founded in 2008. We are the only PBS-approved pharmacy in our town and for a large catchment area, so there is growing demand for our courier service. We dispense and supply prescription and unscheduled pharmacy related goods, and stock a wide range of products. Our proprietors Frank, Emily and Rob are all approachable, bringing diverse experience which you’re welcome to leverage as little or as much as you require.

About the Role

This role would be perfect for someone seeking their next step in their pharmacy career to develop your management skills and clinical knowledge. Responsible for leading the team and managing the clinical services we offer, your responsibilities will include:

Store management including recruitment and training of staff, QCPP accreditation, store work flow and reporting to the proprietors while meeting KPIs.

DAAs, Medschecks, Vaccinations, staged supply, health promotions, and we are registered for CPMS and opioid replacement therapy.

Working closely with the local community to promote health goals

The pharmacy is open Monday to Friday - 8:45 am to 5:15pm, Saturdays - 8:45 am to midday - no late nights, Sundays,or public holidays. Hours and days are negotiable with our experienced part time pharmacist available to work with you and cover days. Full time, all hours, 9 day fortnights or other work options are open to discussion.

About You

As the Pharmacist Manager, you will be service oriented, customer centric and solutions focused. Servicing many different community members, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and understand the importance of confidentiality. You possess a growth-mindset and are committed to personal development for both yourself and your team. To be eligible, you must:

Have the right to work in Australia

Hold unconditional registration by AHPRA as a pharmacist and current vaccination accreditation

Practice legally, ethically and live by our store values

Experience with MINFOS dispense system will be highly regarded but not essential

HMR/RMMR accredited candidates will be highly regarded but not essential

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $190762 (79.75hrs/fortnight x $80/hr x 26 = $145145 + 11.5% super)
Benefits: $13,000 ($250/wk accommodation x 52wks) + 2 return flights to Brisbane + relocation allowance
Total: $203762 p.a (based on working all opening hours).
