Required for an IMMEDIATE START

Kellyville Smiles' is seeking an experienced dental assistant and receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis in Kellyville, NSW. As an Experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice.

What you'll be doing

Assist the dentist with various procedures of general dentistry including hygiene, fillings, root canal treatments,

Experience in surgical procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions and implants surgery is also required together with experience in orthodontics.

Reprocessing and sterilisation of the instruments

Take phone call enquiries and respond to emails

Schedule patients appointments for the practice clinicians.

Correspond with other health professionals regarding patient's treatments

Communicate bookings and patient needs with the clinicians.

Process payments, private health insurance claims and Medicare claims

Co-ordinate complex dental treatments between the clinicians and the practice patients.

Process finance applications for payment plans using 3rd party organisations such as National Dental plans

Following up of patients after treatment

Updating training manuals and follow practice policies

What we're looking for

At least 3 years' experience as a dental assistant or receptionist in a dental practice

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Availability 2-3 days a week required including Mondays, Tuesdays and some Saturdays. More days to be added later this year.

Proficient in using Dental 4 Windows software

Knowledge of dental procedures, equipment, and infection control protocols

Customer service-oriented with a genuine interest in dentistry and patient care
