Our growing fleet of LNG road tankers and on-site LNG storage and vaporisation facilities underpins our reputation for safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

As part of our Downstream LNG business, we are establishing a dedicated maintenance facility in Kwinana to support the safe and efficient operation of our mobile fleet and field-based LNG assets. We are now seeking a capable and motivated Workshop & Field Service Superintendent to lead this critical function.

About the Role

This is a new leadership role based at our newly established Kwinana Maintenance Facility. You’ll play a key role in shaping how the facility operates — from setting up systems and processes to recruiting and mentoring the team.

You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople delivering day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of LNG road tankers, ISO tanks, trailers, and on-site LNG equipment. Working closely with the Maintenance Technical Superintendent and Planner/Scheduler, you'll ensure our maintenance activities are well-executed, safe, and aligned with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:
Build, lead and supervise a team of mechanics, welders, electricians, and field service technicians.
Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and performance management.

Maintenance Execution:
Deliver safe and high-quality mechanical, electrical, cryogenic, and fabrication works across mobile and fixed LNG assets.

Workshop Establishment:
Be hands-on in setting up the Kwinana Maintenance Facility — including workshop layout, tooling, systems, and workflows.

Safety & Compliance:
Drive a proactive safety culture. Lead toolbox talks, enforce safe systems of work, and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the Maintenance Technical Superintendent and Planner/Scheduler to align workforce and resources with the maintenance schedule.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

A mechanical trade qualification (e.g. Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter)

At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory or leading hand role

A track record of leading teams in a mobile fleet or heavy industry setting

A solid understanding of HSE systems, risk controls, and compliance requirements

Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills

A hands-on approach with a passion for building high-performing teams and systems from the ground up

💡 LNG, cryogenic, or regulated equipment maintenance experience and familiarity with standards like AS2809, AS1210, AS4041, and EEHA will be highly regarded.
