Piping Designer

Location: Perth, WA

Indicative assignment length: 12-month Contract

The role

We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join a high-performing engineering design team based in Perth. In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a range of mining and mineral processing projects, spanning concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

· Produce detailed piping layouts and technical drawings in accordance with project standards and procedures

· Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams throughout project stages

· Identify and contribute to practical, constructible design solutions

· Ensure project timelines and cost targets are achieved

· Participate in project meetings, communicate design updates, and raise technical issues where required

· Support and mentor junior designers within the team

· Uphold safety-first principles and safe design practices

What you'll need to succeed

· Experience in piping/mechanical design for mining, mineral, or metals projects

· Proficiency with MicroStation software highly desirable

· Relevant Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting (advantageous)

· Strong communication and team collaboration skills

· Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
