I started RMAC Design 3 years ago when I was a young whippersnapper, and the business has now grown to the point where I need to hire my first employee. RMAC Design works across a wide range of industries - We take client ideas and turn them into construction-ready drawings, provide certification and analysis (FEA, CFD, Heavy Vehicle Mods, etc.) and also do systems work, helping larger organisations get their engineering processes running smoothly. There's a massive variety of work, and most weeks we need to learn something new.

This isn’t a corporate team of 40 engineers — it’s just me (for now) and hopefully you. That means you'll be doing real work, not redlining drawings or sitting on the sidelines. You'll work directly with clients, take ownership of projects, and have a say in how we grow the business and improve our systems.

What you'll do

Design mechanical and structural systems in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks

Perform engineering analysis (FEA, hand calcs, CFD if you're keen)

Develop construction drawings and compliance documentation

Assist with automation and process improvements (e.g. iLogic, Python, VBA)

Collaborate with clients and take ownership of projects

Jump into new challenges and learn on the go — it’s that kind of place

About you

A curious and capable engineer with 3–8 years’ experience

Passionate about solving problems and learning new skills

Proficient in CAD (Ideally both Inventor and Solidworks, but primarily Inventor)

Able to work independently and wear a few different hats

Bonus: Experience in compliance, automation, or niche areas like heavy vehicle mods
