At MJD, we’re thrilled to be partnering with a prestigious and well-respected Private School in the search for a HR Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-driven, supportive, and forward-thinking workplace that genuinely cares about its people.

Working closely with the HR Manager and the broader administrative team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day HR functions across the school. Your efforts will help deliver a positive employee experience and contribute to the implementation of the school’s people strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from start to finish.
  • Assisting with the coordination of training and development activities, including maintaining training records and helping with scheduling.
  • Preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts, letters, and reports, and ensuring files are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Maintaining and updating HR systems and employee records with a strong attention to detail.
  • Providing first-line HR support to employees and managers with day-to-day queries related to policies, entitlements, and procedures.
  • Assisting in the review and maintenance of HR policies and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.
  • Supporting key projects and initiatives led by the HR Manager.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Assistant role.
  • A warm, approachable nature with a strong customer service mindset.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Confidence using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or working towards one) is highly regarded.
