About the role:
The Road Policing Enforcement Division (RPED) operates to enforce infringements issued across Victoria Police and to positively influence road user behaviour within the State of Victoria. The division is involved in multiple elements of road safety overseen by Victoria Police and the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).
RPED provide administration of Victoria Police infringement notices, and other operational services which support the detection and enforcement of infringement notices. Working with our partners in the DJCS, Department of Transport and Planning and other business services providers, RPED operates to support multiple initiatives to reduce road trauma.
Spread across several teams and functions, multiple positions are available which the division in providing assessment and determination of infringement reviews, nominations, and other associated administrative services in a structured, high volume processing environment. The position engages with internal stakeholders within Victoria Police and liaises with external stakeholders through the relevant line management.
Future scope may see the requirements of the division diversify into other key projects.

Your duties will include:
- Assessment and determination of infringement review applications submitted by members of the public, in accordance with legislative, policy and standard operating procedures.
- Investigation of complex enquiries submitted by members of the public regarding infringement management processes.
- Providing support and facilitating RPEDs involvement in multiple initiatives and projects.
- Thorough documentation of outcomes and preparation of correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
- Other high volume administrative tasks critical in support of RPED and the Road Safety program.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated administrative experience involving application of legislation, policy, guidelines and procedures.
- Experience within discretionary decision making, towards complex and sensitive matters.
- Developed interpersonal skills, including written correspondence to key stakeholders and members of the public.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks within a structured, high-volume operational processing environment.
- Experience within a work environment wherein interactions or decisions are required to meet stringent audit and compliance standards.
Further Information:
- Multiple full-time, 3 year fixed term positions available.
- These positions will be located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
