Lead Process Engineer

Location: Perth, WA

Indicative assignment length: Full-Time, Permanent

The role

An established Perth-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Process Engineer / Metallurgist with extensive gold project experience to join their team of six. This is a permanent role with long-term prospects and involvement across multiple project phases—from studies to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead process design for gold processing plants, including flow sheets and equipment selection

· Develop and review mass balances, P&IDs, and process models

· Drive feasibility studies and project execution

· Work closely with clients, vendors, and site teams to ensure practical, effective designs

· Mentor junior staff and support a high-performing team culture

What you'll need to succeed

· Degree in Metallurgy (Chemical Engineering not accepted)

· Mining experience in mineral processing, focused on gold/ base metals

· Strong background in both design and site operations

· Confident leading teams and managing technical delivery
