We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join the team at our vibrant Residential village in Bangalow.
The Allied Health Assistant provides safe, evidence-based, person-centered and goal-orientated care and management of residents in accordance with individual care plans. The position assists residents to live in our Facilities safely and comfortably and are responsible to ensure residents are always treated with dignity, respect, and in a manner that upholds individual residents' identity, culture and diversity.
The Role:
- The role primarily provides support for in the implementation of individualized care plans, aiming to improve resident's physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing. It involves supporting residents with mobility, therapeutic exercise and engagement in recreational activities.
- Assist with group programs including exercises, as delegated.
- Support the use, maintenance and provision of appropriate aids, equipment and assistive technology as directed.
- Create positive relationships with our residents to make them feel like they are truly at home.
About You:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent
- Experience in similar role in aged and/or community care.
- A genuine enthusiasm, care, and compassion in your commitment to working with elderly people.
