Financial Performance & Analysis Manager, Ongoing opportunity, based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working options available

- Annual salary range $145,378 - $168,130 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
About the Role
This is a leadership opportunity to not only oversee the finances of some of the largest, key divisions within DCS, providing management and financial accounting services and expert advice, but an opportunity to help grow and develop the next generation of Finance Leaders in the public sector.
Utilising your strong system skills and financial analytics capability, you will enable senior management to make informed business decisions and ensure the financial performance of the business is consistent with best practice.

As a leader, you will influence senior stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the best outcomes for the business, considering legislative compliance, financial data integrity and maintenance of appropriate controls.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of management reporting and analysis of organisation's financial performance to ensure senior management can effectively respond to changing circumstances and developments
- Drive the delivery of high-quality budgeting and management reporting for the organisation and its related agencies and deliver insightful analysis to inform decision making
- Provide expert financial advice and professional support to the executive, management and finance teams to analyse and interpret financial information in respect of the organisation's financial position by advising on trends and issues, providing options and carrying out impact analysis to inform decision making
- Partner with the executive, management, and relevant finance teams to identify and provide expert financial advice on strategic resourcing issues that impact on savings targets, funding, and develop strategies and proposals to address the identified issues to ensure the targets and business outcomes of the organisation and its related agencies are achieved
- Develop and implement systems, policies and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial information and the highest levels of corporate governance
- Provide timely and compliant financial results and projections, PRIME submissions, information and schedules by the required dates to ensure the organisation and all of its related agencies meet their reporting obligations to relevant stakeholders including NSW Treasury.
- Provide guidance and support to build capability and continuous improvement to improve efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes and systems
What does our ideal candidate look like?
- Experienced Finance Manager within a similar professional, complex setting
- Proactive, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate across a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable success in influencing strategy through collaboration, consultation data driven decision making
- An inquisitive nature with the ability to interrogate data in order to contribute to the delivery of actionable insights to a range of stakeholders
- Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting, Reporting, Analytics, and business insights
- Tertiary qualifications in the field of Finance, Accounting, or similar.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Government and/or Independent Agency experience desirable
- Systems experience including SAP, BW, TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics) and Prime (Hyperion)
