The Opportunity
Woods Furniture is seeking a creative and technically skilled Project Designer to join our in-house design team. This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D modelling and rendering skills (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Enscape), and a keen eye for layout and visual storytelling using Adobe Creative Suite.

You’ll work closely with our client managers to develop classroom layouts, insert our furniture products, and produce visual materials that support sales, tenders, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support to sales and production by generating 2D layouts and 3D renders of various educational and office spaces using Sketchup and/or other CAD applications for use in tenders, marketing and manufacturing.

Collaborate with sales and client teams to interpret briefs and deliver high-impact design visuals

Use SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Enscape to produce realistic renderings.

Create branding visual materials using Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Assist with technical product support as required by staff and customers.

Create and modify drawings to show the detail and assembly of a wide variety of products.

Liaise with management, factory personnel, client managers, agents, customers and suppliers as required.

Keep up with trends in design, education spaces, and visual communication.

Administration duties as directed.

Assist with sales enquiries if required.

Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.

Take ownership of customer issues and follow problem solving through to resolution.

About You

Proficient in 3D modelling (SketchUp) and rendering (experience with Enscape/Keyshot/V-Ray will be highly regarded)

Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

Knowledge in other CAD softwares (Revit, AutoCad, Archicad, etc.)

Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.

Deadline and solutions-oriented

Proficiency in English.

Ability to strategically think.

Confident presenting designs and communicating with clients

Strong attention to detail and layout planning

Relevant qualifications in design, drafting, or architecture

Interest in education environments and human-centred design is a plus
