We're on the lookout for a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join a highly respected, award-winning design practice right here in Melbourne.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on developing and delivering sophisticated interior packages for significant medium to large-scale healthcare projects.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating closely with Senior Architects, fellow Interior Designers, and a broader project team including consultants and construction partners.
• Playing a key role in preparing and delivering engaging presentations for design workshops and user groups.
• Driving the design documentation process from initial concept sketches all the way through to detailed construction documentation.
• Showcasing your expert eye by curating materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures that elevate healthcare spaces.
• Contributing significantly to project delivery – this includes managing RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and participating in crucial inspections.
• Liaising effectively with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Keeping projects on track by managing budgets and adhering to financial guidelines.
• Mentoring and guiding junior designers, fostering their skills and providing valuable feedback.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or an equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of solid local post-graduate experience
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, especially within the Health sector. Bonus if you've also worked on Education, Community, or Commercial projects.
• A knack for coordinating and leading internal project teams and external consultant teams.
• Exceptional documentation skills with an eagle eye for detail.
• A strong understanding of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
• You’re a whiz with software like Revit and Enscape, and comfortable with dRofus, other 3D modelling apps, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Fantastic time management skills – you can juggle competing priorities and consistently hit deadlines and project milestones.
• Proven experience in building and managing great client relationships and expectations.
