The property itself spans approximately 4,200ha, blending both dryland and irrigated cropping (cotton). Located in the Central Highlands, just 28km from Springsure and 70km south of Emerald, it has recently undergone significant upgrades, including state-of-the-art irrigation and water storage systems. With a strong commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement, your role here will significantly impact long-term success.

The Role

This role offers the opportunity to step toward a management position, should you wish. You'll gain exposure to all aspects of farm operations while utilising a modern fleet of John Deere and Case machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficient operation and basic maintenance of modern John Deere and Case equipment
• Adherence to strict Workplace Health and Safety standards
• Supporting the maintenance of irrigation systems, farm channels, and general farming infrastructure.
• Implement crop management plans, directly impacting productivity and yields
• Drive productivity with an eye toward performance bonuses tied to yield targets

What You Bring

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a genuine passion for agriculture and machinery, always ready to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. With hands-on experience in broadacre farming, and machinery operation.

What You’ll Gain

• Competitive Package: $32 - $36ph plus penalty rates (OT), Super and a 3 or 4 bedroom house (inc utilities). Circa $80k - $100k + salary equivalent - calculated on 45-50 hour weeks.
