‘Marwarra’ is a large family-owned cattle property located near Braidwood, NSW. The farm runs a quality breeding and backgrounding operation with a strong focus on cattle health, genetics, and pasture development. We are committed to responsible land management and are seeking a capable Farm Hand to join our small and supportive team.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Farm Hand to assist with the day-to-day operations of our cattle focused enterprise. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in all aspects of livestock handling, infrastructure maintenance, and pasture work

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role with a wide range of day-to-day responsibilities across both livestock care and general property mainenance. The main responsibilities of the role include:

Handling and monitoring cattle, including calving support.

Drafting, yard work, and low-stress livestock handling.

Regular feeding rounds and paddock checks.

Fencing installation, repairs, and general infrastructure maintenance.

Weed eradication, including chemical spraying.

Operating and maintaining farm machinery and vehicles.

Supporting pasture improvement, paddock rotation, and water infrastructure upkeep.

We’re after someone who is practical, reliable, and takes pride in a job well done. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, common sense, and a genuine interest in livestock and land management.

Previous experience in a similar farming role (mandatory)

A strong work ethic and genuine interest in agriculture

Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence with tools and equipment

Current driver’s licence

Physically fit and capable of outdoor work in all weather conditions

Able to follow directions and take initiative when working independently
